Grounds of Appeal data added

March 2026

We’ve now added the Grounds of Appeal on appeal pages where available

See appeals for a party/law firm from their landing pages

Find all appeals and claims for your chosen entity from their landing page

You can now view a party or law firm’s appeals directly from their landing page within the ‘Recent Claim Activity’ section.

We are being more specific about what exactly is being appealed by showing you the Grounds of Appeal on Appeal landing pages. Please do note that we are only able to extract this data from judgments, therefore not all appeals on the platform will be tagged with Grounds of Appeal.

Subscribe to Court of Appeal hearings

Add Court of Appeal updates to your hearing alerts to be notified of Court of Appeal hearings

To do so, go to your featured alerts page from your profile dropdown, click ‘Edit’ next to your High Court Hearings alerts and select the Court of Appeal from the list.

Identify which legal subject matters, topics and remedies are most prevalent in the Court of Appeal

We’ve now added appeals to our legal subject matters, topics and remedies listing pages

You can now filter by Court of Appeal on the legal subject matters topics, and remedies listing pages to see which of these are associated with Court of Appeal cases. For example, you can explore which remedies are most prevalent in these cases - click here to see what this looks like on the platform.

To replicate this search, open the menu tab, select a listing page from the dropdown, and filter by Court of Appeal.

Download claim details from your document search results

Download the claim details of your results from the document search tool results page

You can now search for specific terms and not only view all documents containing that term, but also download claim details of those documents directly.

From the results list, users can export document details along with their corresponding claims for further analysis. Each item downloaded includes all standard claim-level fields typically provided in a claim download. That is: claim number, claimant/defendant barristers, claimant/defendant law firm, claimant/defendant sectors, claimant/defendant solicitors, claimants/appellants, defendants/respondents, court, document URL, factual subject matters, issue date, legal subjects, remedies, sub-court, topics and value.

You can, of course, choose the specific fields you’re interested in to include in your export.

Document order time estimation upgrade

See document order time estimation prior to ordering

We’ve heard what you’ve asked for and you can now view estimated delivery times for document orders before submitting your request. You can use these baselines to help determine whether your desired retrieval timeframe is achievable. These estimates are based on historical requests from the court you are requesting documents from.

Please note that processing times can vary. Some courts may take longer than others and actual delivery may be affected by each court’s capacity.

Distinguish between individual and organisation behaviour in litigation

Filter for individuals within the party sector filter

View how individual litigant behaviour, patterns and history compares to that of organisations. Filter for individuals or organisations in the party sector filter and interrogate the results to identify the similarities and differences between their claims. This also makes it easier to run targeted searches with fewer unwanted results.

Better visibility of data within filters

See the full count of available items within a filter search box

The search box within filters now displays the total count of topics, legal subject matters and remedies available on the platform, giving you improved visibility into the full range of searchable data available.
